As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 22615), we are required by law to collect certain personal details from students to comply with national VET statistical reporting standards (AVETMISS) and Australian Government regulatory obligations. Information collected may include:
- Full name, date of birth, gender, and contact details (address, email, mobile phone).
- Unique Student Identifier (USI) details and verification records.
- Emergency contact details and next-of-kin information.
- Language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) assessment records and background education history.
- Employment history, prior qualifications, portfolio evidence for RPL, or Credit Transfer applications.
- Proof of identity documents (driver’s licence, passport, proof of age card).
- Workplace safety evidence required for placement (Working with Children Check, Police Check, vaccination records).
3. Use and Disclosure of Information
Your personal information is collected solely for legitimate educational, administrative, and regulatory purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may disclose personal data to:
- The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).
- The Student Identifiers Registrar for USI creation and transcript verification.
- State and Territory VET funding authorities where applicable.
- Workplace host providers and early childhood centres for coordinating compulsory practical placement hours.
- External VET auditors and quality assurance assessors acting under legal authority.
4. Data Security and Storage
We store student records and personal information in secure student management systems protected by encryption, strict access controls, and firewall defenses. Hard copy records are kept in secure, locked premises accessible only by authorised personnel. Information is retained for the mandatory statutory timeframes dictated by ASQA standards before being securely destroyed.
